The Evolution of Evo

In 2007, an idea became reality when Evo Sports launched its first term inside the Doha College Al Waab campus gym, offering football sessions with just 60 players and three coaches. The first term’s success was undeniable, and by the second term, demand had already outgrown the initial setup—requiring more coaches to join the journey.

From the beginning, Evo’s identity was shaped by its founders’ passion for football. The red in Evo’s branding has always been a nod to their Liverpool fandom, while the original logo took inspiration from the 1978 Argentina World Cup. But beyond the colours and crest, the club’s core philosophy was set from day one: developing the person before the player.

Evo’s Multi-Sport Expansion

In 2011, Evo evolved beyond its original football roots to offer a variety of sports across Qatar, driven by the high demand for structured, high-quality sporting activities for children.

This expansion marked a major milestone in Evo’s journey, as it introduced programmes in basketball, swimming, netball — each tailored to different age groups and abilities. Evo was able to create inclusive opportunities for thousands of children to stay active, develop key life skills, and build a lifelong love for sport in a safe, professional, and supportive environment.

Introducing the High-Performance Academy

In 2009, Evo Sports introduced the Evo Soccer Academy. The Academy offered an elite, professional training experience, providing young players with multiple weekly sessions designed to enhance their technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall performance.

Building on the success of the soccer programme, Evo Sports expanded its offerings to include basketball, netball, and swimming. Each new discipline embraced the Academy’s commitment to high-performance training, integrating advanced coaching methodologies and structured competition to refine skills and foster growth. This solidified Evo Sports’ reputation as Qatar’s premier multi-sport academy, dedicated to nurturing athletic talent across various disciplines.​

Community Circle

Since 2007, Evo Sports has been more than a sports academy; it has been a vibrant community fostering growth, unity, and excellence in Qatar. Our logo, a testament to our legacy, is a circle that symbolises the inclusive and continuous nature of our community. Just as a circle is endless, so is our commitment to nurturing talent and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.

E,V,O Integration

The letters “E,” “V,” and “O” are subtly embedded within the circle to represent the name “Evo.”

Arabic Influence

‘V’ as Arabic Numeral ‘7’ and Dot as ‘0’: The “V” in the design is cleverly transformed into the Arabic numeral “7,” and the dot symbolizes “0,” together pointing to the year 2007.


Four Sides, Four Sports: The dot within the logo is designed with four sides, each representing one of the sports that form the cornerstone of Evo: Football, Swimming, Netball, and Basketball. This geometric feature underscores our dedication to providing comprehensive sports education and fostering versatility among our athletes.

Legacy Pattern

As part of our rebrand, we’ve created a unique Evo brand pattern that honors our heritage while driving us toward an exciting future. This pattern is more than just a design—it’s a symbol of who we are and our commitment to being the best youth sports club in the country. It represents our legacy and will stand the test of time.


To maintain its prestige, the pattern will be used sparingly and selectively across merchandise and digital assets. It will always appear in our brand colors and serve as an overlay, complementing the base brand color to ensure it remains a true mark of Evo excellence.

Colours and Fonts

Evo Sports’ brand guidelines feature a refined combination of fonts and colours that reflect its identity with clarity and impact. For headlines and sub-headlines, Metropolis Bold and Semibold create a strong, authoritative presence, while Open Sauce Two Medium and Light ensure readability and professionalism in longer body text. Campaigns and creative materials utilise Mashine Semibold to inject a dynamic, youthful energy that distinguishes promotional content. All typography aligns with Evo’s colour palette—Evo Red (#e20000) and Evo Grey (#67686b, #004145)—to maintain consistency, legibility, and a visually appealing aesthetic across all materials, reinforcing Evo Sports’ reputation as a leading youth sports organisation.
