“The success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 was built on a vision that extended far beyond hosting a tournament—it was about leaving a lasting legacy for football development in Qatar and across the region. Grassroots football has always been at the heart of this vision, and Evo Sports has been a key contributor to its growth. Since its inception in 2007, Evo has played an integral role in expanding youth participation, setting a model for private academies, and strengthening Qatar’s footballing culture from the ground up. When Qatar launched its bid to host the World Cup, Evo was highlighted as a case study of how grassroots football could thrive in the region. It demonstrated how structured coaching, community engagement, and competitive opportunities could create a sustainable football culture. Evo’s pioneering work in youth development showcased Qatar’s commitment to making football accessible to all, a core principle that shaped our successful bid. Beyond their influence in grassroots development, Evo played a direct role in delivering the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 youth programme, helping to engage young players, coaches, and volunteers in the world’s greatest footballing event. Their involvement reinforced the idea that the World Cup was more than a tournament—it was a catalyst for inspiring the next generation. At the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, we remain committed to ensuring that the momentum from the World Cup continues to drive football development in Qatar. Evo’s contribution to this journey has been invaluable, and their ongoing work ensures that the legacy of 2022 will continue to shape the future of football in our country for years to come.”
