Qatar bids to host AFC Asian Cup 2027 to reflect pride in representing Asia.

With Qatar moving into the final preparations to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the world's eyes have never been more focused on the peninsula.

With the passion for football rooted deeply in the country's culture, it comes as no surprise that Qatar has submitted its bidding book to host the AFC Asian Cup in 2027.

Football in Qatar was first introduced in the late 1940s and developed rapidly in the 1950s, with the Doha Stadium becoming the first well-equipped football venue in the Gulf region. In 1973, the historic Doha Stadium hosted the legendary Mohamed Ali and Brazilian World Cup hero Pele as the two regaled fans with their world-famous sporting skills.

Qatar's passion for football is rooted in a love for the beautiful game and in a deep desire to enable the power of football to change lives for the greater good. Hosting huge sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup presents Qatar with the unique opportunity to create a legacy for future generations.

Evolution Sports was integral in the original world cup bid as Qatar's leading private grassroots sports coaching providers. With just under half a million coaching hours delivered since our inception, our commitment to make sport accessible to all alongside our core values is the key to our success.
