Mai Al-Jaber shares her excitement about the FIFA World Cup 2022!

With the FIFA World Cup less than two years away, excitement is building up.  Everyone is preparing themselves to be part of Qatar’s history and this includes our very own Mai Al-Jaber (14), who was only four years old when Qatar won the bid to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Mai’s passion for football led her to join the Evolution Sports Girls Only Soccer Programme in 2018. Over the past two years, she has proved herself to be a wonderful player both on and off the field.

Currently, she trains with the Girls Only Under 14 Puma’s. Her coach, Paul Bennion, prides himself on being able to coach such an enthusiastic member of the team. “She is always focused, attentive and ready to learn and is continually looking to improve and apply her new soccer skills. I cannot wait to see her progression in the upcoming term 2 and beyond.”

The girls only soccer programme at Evo is the largest in Qatar. At Evo, we are committed to delivering equal opportunities to female soccer players in the region. The soccer programme provides opportunities for girls aged 6 and over to play football in a friendly yet professional setting. Our coaches run outstanding sessions that develop skills and technique and are enjoyable.

Every girl in Qatar has the opportunity to be coached by our professional team and given all the support and tuition to progress in the sport to any level. With Term 2 starting on the 3rd of January 2021, it is an opportunity for every parent to sign up their child to join the largest girls-only soccer programme in the country and let them, like Mai realise their true potential.
