On Saturday 1st December, Evolution once again held its club championships. The coaching staff were thrilled to see over 400 swimmers register to compete throughout the day!

The morning session saw our youngest swimmers come along and compete in light hearted shark fin, noodle and team races. With plenty of smiles from swimmers, parents and coaches, the days opening session was one to be remembered.

Moving into the afternoon, some closely fought races were cheered on by a full spectator area. With so many swimmers and races that caught they eye it is hard to pick out a single race but special mention must go to Lily Coulton and Evelien Stigter who raised the roof in exchanging the lead multiple times in the 100IM, eventually just won by Evelien.

Another stand out performer, was Lauren Heraty who competed so brilliantly in the 6 & Under category. Lauren has competed in many a competition over the last year and has steadily improved her efforts each time. Her hard work and willingness to give it her best was rewarded with some fine wins in her chosen events. Well done Lauren!

Of course, without the support of parents, the event would not be possible and the swim team at Evolution thanks you for playing your part in making the event bigger and better every time. Your support is truly appreciated.
