Guided by FA qualified coaches, the Little Ballers programme is an ever-evolving quest to teach fundamental football techniques & elementary life skills in a vibrant, group play environment.
Invaluable social skills like listening, sharing, taking turns and teamwork are conscientiously woven into a involving programme that places as much emphasis on simple learning concepts like colours and numbers as it does on fine-tuning a child’s basic balance, agility and co-ordination.
We recognise that every child is an individual, and feel that children develop their skills best when they are playing with other children of a similar age and ability. As such, Little Ballers separate players into four distinct age groups, which encourage each child to maximise their involvement and development potential. In summary, the real joy of our 4 pronged approach (Baby, Junior, Mighty and Mega Ballers) is that we can offer a gently staggered learning environment for all our students, an enjoyable yet challenging pre-school football programme that is safe and always stays strictly within the student’s comfort zone.
Baby Ballers is the perfect introduction to the fun world of Little Ballers. Children are introduced to the basics of football (dribbling, striking, goal scoring etc.) in a play-oriented yet structured format, using child-friendly but realistic football equipment. Each child is given the opportunity to work within their ability level but taught in a group environment. Classes also provide a fantastic opportunity for you to assist in your child’s early education, helping them develop physically as well as improving cognitive and social skills.
Junior Ballers builds on the foundation skills and football basics learnt in the Baby Ballers. Using a familiar structure, children are challenged both physically and mentally. For those children who started in the Baby Ballers, independent participation is encouraged. If your child has just joined us you may need to stay close-by for a few weeks, but the ultimate goal is for children to be able to participate on their own. The format remains learning through play and because children are allowed to work to their own ability, it is suitable for complete beginners.
Mighty Ballers are confident with boundless energy and this is catered for in the session plans. Our games are fast-paced and increasingly football focused, with fun still at the heart, meaning that even new starters easily pick them up. Children begin to understand the importance of team play and matches are gradually introduced.
Mega Ballers is the culmination of the preceding age groups. It brings together all the skills learnt and introduces them into real football matches. Children continue to develop the social and cognitive skills as well as honing their football skills, putting them to use at the end of each session during the 20-minute match. There is a focus on fair play, as well as a focus on knowledge, understanding and practical application of the rules of play.
